Pond Cottage is a high quality converted barn in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage sleeps 4 (in two bedrooms) and is a delightful character barn that is situated on a working farm, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Originally used as a stable, conversion of the cottage began at the end of 2000. It has now been restored and modernised to an exceptionally high standard with many fine features throughout. These include exposed beams, character fireplace in the lounge, fully fitted kitchen, plus two bedrooms and two shower rooms. It now offers a peaceful retreat after touring the area for couples and families. Outside is an enclosed garden with shrubs and roses, overlooking a natural pond, with orchards beyond and views across the open countryside.
Peasmash is a small village with two pubs, a village shop and a family owned supermarket. There is a footpath from the cottage to Peasmarsh and the neighbouring ancient and historic town of Rye, which is only 3.5 miles away. The traditional seaside resorts of Camber Sands, Winchelsea and Hastings are all a short car journey away and for garden lovers, Great Dixter, Leeds, Sissinghurst and Hever are all within easy reach.

Inside
Throughout the cottage there are interesting exposed beams, rescued from an Oast House on the farm, which was destroyed during the hurricane. A large patio door leads into the character lounge/dining room. This room has an attractive feature fireplace with electric wood-burner effect fire, comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs, colour television and a selection of books and games. The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern appliances, including a fridge, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. From the kitchen a stable door leads into the garden. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower-room. There is also an additional shower room with wash hand basin and w.c. Both bedrooms have lovely views over the pond and orchards.
Outside
There is a patio to the front and parking for two cars. A brick path leads to the side entrance of the cottage and into the hall. At the rear of the cottage is an enclosed private garden, which overlooks the pond and is planted with shrubs and roses. Please note, the pond is very deep and although fenced, there should be strict supervision of children and pets at all times to avoid accidents.
